How to choose a car rental company in Dubai: a checklist
Prices on comparison sites look similar, but the real cost of a rental in Dubai depends on the conditions. Use this checklist before you pay any company, including us.
The 10 questions to ask
- How much is the security deposit, and in how many days is it refunded?
- Is mileage unlimited, or is there a daily kilometre limit?
- What is the insurance excess if the car is damaged?
- How are Salik tolls and traffic fines billed?
- What is the fuel policy?
- What are the minimum age and licence requirements?
- Is delivery to the hotel or airport free?
- Until when is cancellation free?
- Can the car be driven to Oman?
- Is there a photo check and a written contract at delivery?
